Azusa Pacific’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate, in combination with the Master of Science in Nursing and School Nurse Services Credential, equips nurses to comprehensively address the needs of school health programs and offer primary care for children in other settings. Following successful completion of the program, graduates can apply to the State of California for the School Nurse Services Credential.
Make a difference in children’s health care
Through relevant coursework in a supportive Christian community, students learn theory and practice for developing and sustaining K–12 school health programs, as well as providing health care for children in diverse settings. The advanced practice Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Specialty prepares graduates for client assessment and diagnosis, management and treatment, advocacy and education, as well as consultation, program planning, implementation, evaluation, and research.
