Focused on deepening patient care, the Adult-Gerontology, Family, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner paths emphasize direct patient assessment and diagnosis, management and treatment, client advocacy and education, as well as consultation, program planning, implementation, evaluation, and research. The PMHNP focuses on assessment, intervention planning, application, and evaluation of advanced practice therapeutics in response to acute and chronic biologic and psychiatric mental health programs. Graduates of all four program paths are eligible to pursue California advanced practice certification.
