Art Major (BFA)

Campus Locations:

Azusa

Traditional Undergraduate Major

This is a 4-year program for traditional undergraduate and transfer students offered at Azusa Pacific University’s main campus.

Become an Art Professional

With APU’s fine arts major, you’ll learn what professional work is like as an artist in your field with competencies in traditional tools, materials, and techniques. The BFA helps you build the skills you need to move you toward your career goals, and is highly desired by students pursuing careers or graduate school in the visual arts. You can choose one of five concentrations to construct a program that works for you.

You’re a Fine Arts Major if You:

  • Are interested in pursuing an MFA or an advanced degree in visual art
  • Are interested in customizing your program to suit your interests and skills
  • Want to practice blending a broad range of knowledge and skills in art and design
  • Want a degree emphasizing evaluation at completion and that involves minimum faculty guidance

Note: After taking the first 18 units of the core courses in art, all art majors (including those pursuing the BFA) can apply to enter the BFA program with a portfolio review process.
